Network Throttling Setting Results in Lower Network Transmission Speed

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

If you apply a network throttling setting by using a network device such as a switch, the network transmission speed on a Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based computer may be lower than it is on a Microsoft Windows 2000-based computer. This may affect the performance of streaming programs, such as Microsoft Windows Media Services 9, on the Windows Server 2003-based computer.
