A USB 1.1 memory key device generates an error in Event Viewer when you connect the device to your computer

Symptoms

When you connect a Universal Serial Bus (USB) memory key or memory stick device to your Windows 2000-based computer or to your Windows Server 2003-based computer, an error entry may be recorded in Event Viewer. However, the USB device works correctly. For example, read and write operations work correctly.

Cause

The Disk class driver (Disk.sys) requests mode page 0x00, which is an undefined page. This request causes an error to occur.
