DCDIAG Command Causes an Error Message During a Domain Upgrade to Windows Server 2003

Symptoms

During the upgrade of your Microsoft Windows 2000 Server-based domain to Microsoft Windows Server 2003, when you run the dcdiag /test:Test_Name /v command and switch, you receive the following error message:
Domain_Name Domain Controllers doesn't have Replicating Directory Changes All access rights for the naming context.

Cause

This problem may occur if the Windows 2000-based domain that you are running dcdiag.exe on has a naming context that has the CN=DomainUpdates,CN=System container, but that does not have the CN=Windows2003Update,CN=DomainUpdates,CN=System container.

Resolution

Hotfix Information
