�The Available Memory Is Not Sufficient� Error Message When You Use Exchange 2000 Exchange System Manager to Manage Exchange Server 2003

Symptoms

When you try to access the Directory Access tab when you view the Properties dialog box for your Exchange Server 2003 computer from an Exchange 2000 version of Exchange System Manager, you receive the following error message:
The available memory is not sufficient. Close some applications or windows, and try again. ID no: c10306a7 Exchange System Manager
You cannot configure the domain controllers to be used by your Exchange Server 2003 computer by using Exchange 2000 Exchange System Manager.

Cause

This behavior occurs because Exchange 2000 Exchange System Manager is not designed to manage Exchange Server 2003 computers.

To work around this behavior, use Exchange Server 2003 Exchange System Manager when you want to manage Exchange Server 2003 computers.
