The Bottom Portion of a List Is Not Extended When You Add Rows of Data to an Excel List

Symptoms

When you try to apply an outline border around a list in Excel 2003, add a new row to the list, and then click somewhere on the window other than the list to deactivate the list, the bottom section of the list border does not appear. The side borders are extended, and appear as you expect.

Cause

This issue may occur when you apply a border to the list, and then add rows to the list, extending the length of the list.

Workaround

To work around this issue, add the border around the list after the list is complete, and no additional rows will be added.
