The 5250 Client sets the keyboard language type to the Japanese value of
JKB when any of the following
Host Code Page settings are selected for use:
- Chinese Big-5 (937)
- Chinese GB (935)
- Japanese (930)
- Korean (933)
The
Host Code Page setting is available in the
Session Configuration dialog box of the 5250 Client.
The first time that a 5250 emulator connects to an AS/400, the AS/400 creates a virtual device that corresponds to the 5250 display or printer session being used. The following is an example of a virtual display device that is created when the 5250 Client is configured to use one of the host code pages listed earlier in this article:
