This presentation will illustrate how to successfully implement user interface extensions for WIA devices on Windows XP. We will discuss three types of extensions - property sheets, context menus, and device acquisition dialog replacement. Topics include extension installation, runtime binding to the correct IWiaItem, communication with the driver, and driver properties that control some Windows XP behaviors. Code samples will be shown. Knowledge of C++ and the Windows XP DDK is expected.
