Events in the Dns.log file are not time stamped

Symptoms

In Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 (SP4) and earlier versions, entries in the Dns.log file are not time stamped. This hotfix adds a time stamp to each entry in Dns.log. After you install this hotfix, entries in Dns.log will look similar to the following entries:
The DNS server has started.
15:35:44 67C PACKET  Rcv UDP 10.117.150.173  00f7    Q [0001   D   NOERROR](5)dns01(4)msft(3)com(0)
15:35:44 67C PACKET  Snd UDP 10.117.150.173  00f7  R Q [8085 A DR  NOERROR](5)dns01(4)msft(3)com(0)
This problem also occurs in Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and is fixed with the Service Pack 1 update to Windows Server 2003.
