XADM: Error -2147221233 Is Logged During Information Store Maintenance

During information store maintenance you may see the following messages logged in the Event Log:

Event Type: Information
Event Source: MSExchangeIS Mailbox Store
Event Category: Background Cleanup
Event ID: 1232
Description: Error -2147221233 while hard-deleting messages in folder 2-4A37D on database "StorageGroup\MailboxStore".

The error-2147221233 means MAPI_E_NOT_FOUND.

This problem occurs because there was a property missing on a folder when information store maintenance cleaned up deleted messages that were past their retention time. Even if you run the Isinteg utility against the database, it does not report or fix this problem .
