Symptoms

In Microsoft Windows 2000, if you upgrade Passport Software Development Kit (SDK) 1.4 to Passport SDK 2.1 or Passport SDK 2.5, the Partner.xml file is replaced with the Partner2.xml file. However, if you upgrade your operating system to Microsoft Windows Server 2003, the Partner.xml file is not updated.

Workaround

To work around this issue, use Msppcnfg.exe to manually update the Network Map. This updates the Partner.xml file.

To manually update the Network Map in Passport Manager Administration utility, follow these steps:
  1. Click to select the Refresh Network Mapcheck check box.
  2. Click Commit Changes.

A MessageBox indicates that the Network Map is being updated. A second MessageBox appears when the Network Map is successfully updated.
