PRB: Certain Canon Drivers Do Not Work on Windows Server 2003

Some Canon print drivers do not work in Microsoft Windows Server 2003 after you upgrade from Microsoft Windows NT 4.0.

When you upgrade from Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 to Microsoft Windows Server 2003, the system does not block Windows NT 4.0 drivers. However, for certain Canon printer drivers, after the installation, you have to remove the existing driver and manually install the Windows Server 2003 driver that is included with the product.

The third-party products that are discussed in this article are manufactured by companies that are independent of Microsoft. Microsoft makes no warranty, implied or otherwise, regarding the performance or reliability of these products.

Replacing the Drivers

Worldwide Models

Following are the worldwide models that need to be replaced with the drivers that are included with Windows Server 2003 US and any other language version:
