Symptoms


When you install a fresh Windows2003 R2 X64 with integrated Service Pack 2, the installation

time may take a long time (Usually more then 8 hours).

The issue doesn't occur if you are using Windows2003 R2 X64 with integrated Service Pack 1.

Cause


One of the installation drivers/installation utilities that supply by the OEM

(Original Equipment Manufacturer) vendor cause the delay during the installation.

Resolution



1. Update the server hardware to the latest BIOS/Firmware.

2. Contact OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) vendor support for further assistant.
