Symptoms

When you try to download/upload files from third party FTP server, the download performance�are poor.

Cause

The third party FTP server may require to allow use of "Ident Protocol" (RFC1413 compliance).

Resolution


Option 1:

Use another FTP server, if�this available.


Option 2:

Contact the FTP server support staff and request to disable the need to use
"Ident Protocol".


Option 3:

Allow access from the third party FTP server to the local computer via TCP port 113.

Warning: Please be aware that allow access to your local computer/LAN may create a security risk.
