Description:
The Microsoft ISA Server Control service depends on the ISA Server Packet Filter Extension Driver service which failed to start because of the following error: This driver has been blocked from loading.

Cause

When you install ISA 2000 on Windows Server 2003, it automatically blocks ISA Server Packet Filter Extension Driver & Microsoft ISA Server Control service fails to start.

Resolution

When you install ISA 2000 on Windows Server 2003, it automatically blocks ISA Server Packet Filter Extension Driver from loading. This event is seen along with Event ID 876 & Event ID 7001. To resolve this, install;

ISA Server 2000: Required Updates for Windows Server 2003
