Cause

When attempting to change your password in a Windows Server 2003, SP1 Active Directory, using the Microsoft User Authentication Method, you receive the following error message "The Microsoft User Authentication Method encountered an error. A miscellaneous AFP error ocurred." This is likely due to the Directory Access settings on the MAC client not being set correctly. This issue was experienced on MAC OS X 10.3.6.
