"Class not registered" error message appear after running "iisreset" command

Symptoms

After running "iisreset" command on Windows 2003 Server With IIS, an error message may appear "Class not registered".

Cause


Reinstalling IIS or/and reinstall the operating system may not register correctly�"iisrstas.exe".
"iisrstas.exe" use as "Internet Information Services reset control" that use by "iisreset" command.

Resolution


1. Go to "Start" -> "Run".

2. Write "C:\Windows\system32\inetsrv\iisrstas.exe /RegServer" and press on "Enter" key.
