Update for Windows Embedded Compact 2013: June 2020

This article describes the update to the Microsoft Windows CE Cryptographic Service Provider Signature thumbprint in Windows Embedded Compact 2013. The period of validity for the code-signing certificate is changed as follows:

Old period of validity

September 6, 2018 – September 6, 2019

(9/6/2018 – 9/6/2019)

New period of validity

March 11, 2020 – March 5, 2021

(3/11/2020 – 3/05/2021)

Additionally, this update will install all previously released updates for Windows Embedded Compact 2013.

Prerequisites

You must have Windows Embedded Compact 2013 installed to apply this update.

Restart requirement

After you apply this update, you must perform a clean build of the whole platform. To do this, use one of the following methods:

• On the Build menu, click Clean Solution, and then click Build Solution.
• On the Build menu, click Rebuild Solution.

You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this software update.

Update replacement

This update replaces all previously released updates.
