Console may crash when you select Add online protection to existing Protection Group after installing Update Rollup 1 for Data Protection Manager 2019


Symptoms

After installing Update Rollup 1 for Microsoft System Center 2019 Data Protection Manager (DPM 2019), you click on add online protection by right clicking on existing protection group or by selecting option in the top ribbon, the console may crash.

Installation Instructions

To install this hotfix, follow these steps:

  1. Download this hotfix to a target folder on your computer.
  2. Open the target folder,
    • Select and right-click on DataProtectionManager-KB4547368.exe if you are installing the hotfix on the DPM server
    • Select and right-click on DPMManagementShell-KB4547368.exe if you are installing the hotfix on Remote DPM Console server
  3. Click Run as administrator.
  4. Accept the Microsoft Software License Terms, and then follow the steps in the installation wizard.
