Event ID 56 when two or more NVMe devices are installed in Windows Server 2016 and Windows Server 2019

Symptom

When two or more non-volatile memory express (NVMe) devices of the same make / model are attached to a Windows Server 2016 or Windows Server 2019-based computer, Windows may log Event ID 56.

Cause

The message is logged because the second and other NVMe devices have the same Device Instance ID as the first NVMe device. The message is logged when PnP creates unique instance IDs.
