Providing information for administrators when auto forward limit is reached in Exchange Server 2019 and 2016

View products that this article applies to.

Summary

In Microsoft Exchange Server 2019 or Exchange Server 2016, you set auto forward rules for each mail-enabled public folder. When an email message is auto forwarded from one of the public folders, the email message will be dropped if it’s forwarded more than three times. In this situation, the administrators can’t see any information about this issue. After you install this update, the administers will be notified that the auto forward limit is reached and the public folder from which the problem has arisen is also given with the necessary details.
