Service Update 23 for Microsoft Dynamics 365 9.0.2

Service Update 23 for Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online 9.0.2 is now available. This article describes the hotfixes and updates that are included in Service Update 23.

Please note that our naming conventions have changed to clarify the link between the version number and service update.  For example, Service Update 23 will correspond to version number 23XX.  Occasionally a Service Update will be canceled and all the associated fixes will be rolled into the next Service Update, thus Service Update numbers will not always increase incrementally.

As this release is deployed globally, we will continue to add fixes and the version number may change.  Check this article regularly as we continue to document fixes added to this release.

To determine whether your organization had this update applied, check your Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online version number. Click the gear icon in the upper-right corner, and then click About.

Performance Improvements

The following list details issues whose resolutions improve the speed or functionality of Dynamics.

• Incremental system-wide performance improvements have been made in this update.

Unexpected Behavior

The following list details issues whose resolutions correct actions performed in Dynamics that do not work as intended.

• Wrong icons displayed after importing a customized solution to v9.
• In Opportunities, Summary was displaying in English instead of French.
• Read-only fields became editable when field metadata was modified.
• Queries using “Only show records where” filter displayed all records instead of specific ones in the Lookup field.
• Using Related Records filter displayed all contacts instead of specific contacts when assigning a Primary Contact.

Repaired Functionality

The following list details issues whose resolutions repair items in Dynamics that are not functioning.

• Field behavior failed to change to “Date Only” after solution imported.
• Rollup field value was not displayed automatically in the IE and Chrome browsers.
• Users could not type "Polish S" in forms.
• Localized strings were not appearing in the Close Opportunity dialog window.
• Queries using “Only show records where” filter displayed all records instead of specific ones in the Lookup field.
• Null value returned when data retrieved using OData for attributes with logical name in mixed casing.
• Users could not read the complete Instance name unless column width was expanded manually.
• Activity logging was unavailable for exported Word templates.
• Page navigation disappeared when users viewed a Dashboard tile with more than one page worth of records on IE browser.
• Jquery not displaying when bulk editing custom entity settings.
• A V9 DB update was erroneously installing a Customer Service Hub update.

• Sorting for grid in Outlook setting page of Web Client Dynamics 365 App was not functional.

Error Messages, Exceptions, and Failures

• An error occurred when attempting to publish an update, in an unmodified active context, of a component with an unpublished active row.
• An error occurred when a user attempts to view Telemetry after Admin deletes a field that the user created.
• Error "An item with the same key has already been added." occurred when upgrading to V9.0.
• An error occurred when using \n command for newlines.
• Error 0x80040203 occurred when users tried to add and then view Virtual entities on UCI app.
• An error occurred when publishing Duplicate detection rules for entity leads.
