Symptoms

You have an SWE application that has a custom control and buttons to do the following things in Windows Embedded Compact 2013:

  • Unload control
  • Reload control
  • Set state
When you run the application, and then you click the Set state button, the custom control visual state changes (but not to the default state). If you click the Unload control button, and then you click Reload control, the visual tree visual state becomes the default state and the previous visual state is lost. Additionally, a memory leak occurs when you repeatedly remove and add the visual element.
