Update rollup for Azure File Sync Agent (Preview Refresh 2): June 2018

This article describes the improvements and issues that are fixed in the update for the Azure File Sync Agent (Preview Refresh 2) that's dated June 2018. Additionally, this article contains installation instructions for this release.

• Sync fails if a server is added to an existing sync group if reparse points exist in the server endpoint location on the server.

Note Update rollups for Azure File Sync Agent (Preview Refresh) are cumulative. These updates include all improvements and fixes that were included in the previous cumulative update.

This update is available for Windows Server 2012 R2 and Windows Server 2016 installations that have the Azure File Sync agent (Preview Refresh 2) installed.

The agent version for this Refresh 2 update is 3.0.13.0.

Microsoft Update

To get and install this update rollup from Microsoft Update, follow these steps on a server that has Azure File Sync Agent installed:

Server 2016

1. Select Start, and then select Settings.
2. In Settings, select Update & security.
3. In the Windows Update window, select Check online for updates from Microsoft Update.
4. Verify that the update rollup is listed, and then select Install now.
    

Server 2012 R2

1. Select Start, and then select Control Panel.
2. In Control Panel, double-click Windows Update.
3. In the Windows Update window, select Check for updates.
4. Select Important updates are available.
5. Verify the update rollup is selected, and then select Install.
