Quarterly VAT communication ("Lipe 2018") for Italy in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Operations

Introduction

According to Legislative Decree no. 127/2015, art. 1 and Decree Law 78/2010, art. 21, the Periodic VAT payment Communication (COMUNICAZIONE IVA PERIODICA CON PROSPETTO DI LIQUIDAZIONE) information must be transmitted electronically in XML format (Quarterly VAT communication "Lipe").

Implementation of Quarterly VAT communication in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Operations is described in KB # 4020688.

On 21st of March 2018, Italian Inland Revenue is published newly with the related instructions and technical specifications. The new format must be used starting from the Lipe communication of the first quarter of 2018, to be submitted by the deadline of May 31, 2018 and will replace the communication model of the quarterly VAT returns approved with the provision of March 27, 2017.

This update of the Quarterly VAT communication "Lipe 2018" includes new versions of related GER configurations to support the changes introduced in the technical documentation published on 21st of March 2018 by Italian Inland Revenue:

New versions of the configurations in the table should be installed via Electronic reporting.

Then, format child configuration with company specific setup should be rebased on the new ones. To do so, select your company's format and click Rebase. Draft version's number will be updated, and changes delivered in latest version will be ported to your company's format. In case of rebasing conflicts in nodes:

  • model > Accounting data > Monthly data > ActiveVATOperations,
  • model > Accounting data > Monthly data > PassiveVATOperations,

select parent changes and update those nodes with your company's tax codes respectively in child format.

Add Sales tax codes setup as Use tax in your company in the following nodes:

  • model > Accounting data > Monthly data > PassiveVATOperations,
  • model > Accounting data > Monthly data > UseTaxVATOperations.

Save and complete your format.
