Symptoms

The call to retrieve Merchant Properties currently occurs during every logon operation. If the Retail Server is unable to communicate to the HQ, which is a possible scenario for the Retail Server Scale Unit, then the logon operation will fail.

Resolution

If the Merchant Properties cannot be retrieved in the scenario where the Retail Server cannot communicate to the HQ then the MPOS should use the latest Merchant Properties cached on the device and not block the logon operation.
