There are two ways to send customer statements in current versions of Microsoft Dynamics GP:

  • Which Microsoft Dynamics GP versions does this apply to?
Dynamics GP 2013 RTM (recommend R2) and later versions.

  • Is Adobe PDF Writer required?
    No.

  • Can I edit the Subject line of the email message?
Yes (in the E-mail Message Setup).

  • Can I edit the body of the email message?
Yes (in the E-mail Message Setup).

  • How do I set this up?
Setup documents are outlined in the GP2013_Finanicals.zip file under Receivables, or view the Receivables Management New Features video/demo link.  Also additional enhancements are outlined in this BLOG article.

OPTION 2 - GP FUNCTIONALITY  (using original GP functionality)

You can email customer statements as HTML, PDF, XPS and DOCX in Microsoft Dynamics GP.  However, Adobe PDF Writer is required to be able to send the statement in 'PDF' format using the GP way.

  • Which Dynamics GP versions does this apply to?
All GP versions (past and current).

  • Is Adobe PDF Writer required?
Yes, if you want to send in PDF format.  No, if you want to send in TXT.

  • Can I edit the Subject line of the email message?
Yes (in E-mail Options tab in Print Receivables Statements window).

  • Can I edit the body of the email message?
    No.

  • How do I set this email functionality up?
