Cumulative security update for Internet Explorer: March 23, 2018

This security update resolves several reported vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer 11 running on Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1). The most severe of these vulnerabilities could allow remote code execution if a user views a specially crafted webpage in Internet Explorer. This security update also includes improvements and fixes for Internet Explorer 11 that resolve the following issues:

• Internet Explorer 11 does not start after you install the March 13, 2018 cumulative update for Internet Explorer.

• The fixes that are included in this cumulative update for Internet Explorer 4096040 are also included in the March 2018 Preview of Monthly Rollup. Installing the Preview of Monthly Rollup installs the fixes that are in this update.
