Incorrect UI strings appear after you install KB 4077528 on a Surface Hub

Symptoms

After you install the February 22, 2018, cumulative update for Windows 10 Version 1703 (KB 4077528) on a Surface Hub, the device displays incorrect UI strings.

This issue is indicated by the following symptoms:

  • Incorrect characters for hours and minutes are displayed in the scheduled meetings notification on the Welcome screen.
  • Incorrect menus and menu item names are displayed in the Settings windows.

Note This issue doesn't occur on Surface Hubs that have the language set to en-US.

Resolution

To fix this issue, install the latest Surface Hub team edition update that was released on March 8, 2018 and based on KB4092077 (OS Build 15063.936).

The update will be applied automatically during your nightly maintenance period. If you want to apply the fix earlier, review and apply available updates from:

Settings -> Update & security -> Windows Update -> Check for updates

This update includes quality improvements. No new operating system features are being introduced in this update.
