Symptoms

When running a data import or editing data in Excel, the Employment entity fails to be imported if the ValidTo field has changed.  A few other entities were also affected by the same issue.

The error message shown was: "Cannot edit a record in Employment (HcmEmployment). 'Employment end date' column cannot be updated in change tracking mode."

Resolution

The changes in this hotfix fix the record sorting order during import and allow ValidTo to be updated on several date-effective entities by ensuring that such changes are treated as an update instead of an insert and that Correction mode is used.
