We did some remodeling to make Cortana more helpful. On your PC, the first thing you will notice is Cortana has moved from the search box to the taskbar. To speak with Cortana, select the Cortana icon in the taskbar and start talking. If you prefer, you can still type a command in the search box.
On your PC, articles related to your interests won’t show up in Cortana Home anymore. Cortana will alert you to breaking news about your interests in Windows action center instead. Cortana already adds things there that need your attention, like commitments, reminders you may have missed, and more. It’s also where Cortana will help you pick up where you left off on a different device.
You can open action center any time from the lower-right corner of your screen.
Meanwhile, you’ll get personalized content based on your interests in the Edge browser. When you open a new browser tab in Edge you’ll see sports, finance, and weather, customized just for you.
And Cortana will continue to show content about your interests on your phone, for easy access to articles when you’re on the go.
Cortana’s Notebook is still the place to manage what she keeps track of for you. Go to the Manage Skills tab to add or remove interests, and discover new skills.
The Organizer tab in the Notebook is where you can find and edit the lists and reminders that Cortana keeps for you.
We’ll continue to make improvements as Cortana develops new skills and becomes available across more devices.
If there’s an improvement you’d like to see, let us know about it! Open Cortana and select the feedback icon on the lower left .
