A country-specific update for Italian Customs declarations in Sales tax report filling with tax information of the vendor of the original invoice on Dynamics AX 2009 SP1

Symptoms

According to the Circolare AE n. 87 del 5-7-2017, companies in Italy from the begging of the 2018 year must include into the VAT register report information about the original extra-EU vendor in relation with the Customs declaration for this vendor.

Overview

To meet the requirement announced in Circolare AE n. 87 del 5-7-2017 in regard Customs declarations reporting in VAT register (Sales tax report for Italy) and according to the suggestion to fill in Tax exempt number field the VAT number of the vendor from the original invoice on customs declaration posting, the following changes are provided with this hotfix:

  1. A new Original vendor in reporting parameter on Vendor register is added on Vendor profile tab of the Accounts payable > Vendors > All vendors > Vendor.
  2. Add check on Sales tax report for Italy generation: If new Original vendor in reporting parameter is marked for a vendor, fields related to the invoice (a customs declaration) in the report should be filled in as following:
  • Tax exempt numberTax exempt number from the invoice header.
  • NameCompany name from the Tax exempt numbers table related to the Tax exempt number in the invoice header. In case if the Name field in Tax exempt numbers table is empty, then system will find a Name of a vendor with related Tax exempt numbers. In case of no coincidences, the Name from the invoice will be reported.
  • Fiscal code – blank.
