View products that this article applies to.

Summary

This update for guest Virtual Machines (VM) addresses a race condition in a VM’s Network Virtual Service Client (NetVsc) which may cause a Windows Server 2016 VM network adapter on a Windows Server 2016 host to be disconnected.

Note: This fix is already included in the latest cumulative updates and it is only required for VMs still on 2017-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 (KB3213986) and that have not taken subsequent monthly updates.
