No MAPI network interface is found after you install Exchange Server 2016 CU7

Symptoms

After you install the Cumulative Update 7 for Exchange Server 2016, the status of network adapter probe is always failed. When you run the Invoke-MonitoringProbe-Identity Network\NetworkAdapterProbe-Server Exchange PowerShell command, you receive an exception that resembles the following:

System.ApplicationException: NetworkAdapterProbe.TestNetworkInterfaceSetting: Fail to load network setting
System.ApplicationException: No MAPI network interface is found. Returning...

Cause

This issue occurs because a new function does not check the correct property of the MAPI network interface card (NIC).

Resolution

To fix this issue, install Cumulative Update 8 for Exchange Server 2016 or a later cumulative update for Exchange Server 2016.
