Quality and reliability improvements

For .NET Framework 4.6, 4.6.1, 4.6.2, 4.7, and 4.7.1

ASP.NET1

In the following scenarios, ASP.NET may remove the cookie from the response:

  • A cookie is added by adding “set-cookie” to HttpResponse.Headers.
  • Another cookie is added through HttpResponse.SetCookie/HttpResponse.Cookies.Set.

After you apply this fix, ASP.NET makes sure that the response cookie is not removed.

Active Directory2

TokenGroupSet now supports unresolvable SIDs by returning a principal together with the original SID.

ADO.NET3

SqlConnection can hang in "Close and Dispose" after it receives a networking exception during SqlBulkCopy writes.

WCF4

Resolves a deadlock condition in the SharedTcpTransportManager.OnClose and OnReceiveComplete functions by not acquiring the ThisLock property when the listener is stopped.

1 Active Server Pages (ASP.NET)
2 Active Directory Services (ADS)
3 ActiveX Data Object (ADO.NET)
4 Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)
