Introduction

This article describes an issue in which UI-related problems occur after you install the Wave 3 rollup (2017 M06 update) on a Windows Embedded Compact 7-based device. An update is available to resolve this issue. Before you install this update, all previously issued updates for this product must be installed.

Symptoms

After you install the Wave 3 rollup (2017 M06 update) on a Windows Embedded Compact 7-based device, many UI-related problems occur. These problems include strings that do not have null characters, and applets that cannot start in non-English locales.

Cause

This issue occurs because the resource files (.res) does not contain the updates that are provided by Wave 3 rollup (2017 M06 update).

  • On the Build menu, click Rebuild Solution.

You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this software update.
