Set up a speaker with Cortana

Connect Cortana to your speaker with Windows 10 or the Cortana app on Android and iOS to control your music with voice commands, make and receive hands-free calls with Skype, get answers to your questions, and more.

Before you can set up and control your speaker with your PC or mobile device, you need to make sure that you're running the latest version of Windows 10.

To update Windows:

1. Select the Start  button, then select Settings .

2. Select Update and Security  > Check for updates.

Once your PC is up to date, you can begin setup:

1. Open Cortana.
2. Select Devices .
3. Follow the instructions.

To begin setup:

1. Download the free Cortana app from the App Store or GooglePlay. 
2. Once the Cortana app is open, select Account in the top-right corner.
3. Select Devices , then select Start setup.
