Installing an additional SMS Provider removes previous Provider information in System Center Configuration Manager version 1702

Symptoms

After you run Configuration Manager setup to specify an additional SMS Provider, any previous Provider information is removed from the SMS_ProviderLocation class that is stored in the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) database on the site server. This problem continues to occur if you install more SMS Providers.
