This version of the .NET Framework runs side-by-side with the .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 and its earlier versions, but performs an in-place update for the .NET Framework 4, 4.5, 4.5.1, 4.5.2, 4.6, 4.6.1, 4.6.2, and 4.7.

Restart requirement
You may have to restart the computer after you install this update. We recommend that you close all applications that are using the .NET Framework before you apply this update.
