Customer is trying to change the Item Batch Number Key for a Stocked Item.This problem means that when we need to change an Item Batch Number, we need to manually Back Out all related Transactions for the underlying Batch Number Manually to get both the Inventory Position and GL Position to net out to ZERO. From there we need to use the new Batch Number and carry out the same tasks manually and to return to the Inventory and GL State with the NEW Item Batch Number. This is very time consuming. Furthermore if we use the Rename functionality, since all data is not updated, the Data integrity of the system is compromised leaving missing references in Dynamics
