Italy – 2017 Updates for Declaration of Intent for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013

View products that this article applies to.

This release for Microsoft Dynamics NAV adds support for exporting a declaration of intent within a limit, as declarations within a period no longer is an option.

Overview

For operations to be carried out from January 1st 2015, regular exporters wishing to buy or import without charging VAT must electronically transmit a declaration of intent (Dichiarazioni di Intento) to the tax authorities (Agenzia delle Entrate) either directly, by persons authorized by Entratel or Fisconline, or by a third party. The declaration, together with the receipt from the authorities, is then delivered to the supplier or to the customs authorities (Decree No. 175/2014).

To accommodate this, it is possible to export a declaration of intent in connection with VAT exemption for a vendor. When exporting the declaration, vendor and company information are added automatically and further details are requested in an export dialog. The exported file can then be manually uploaded to Agenzia delle Entrate using tools provided.

Since the 1st of March 2017, it is no longer an option to declare operations within a period. Only one-off or continuous operations within a limit are supported. This change enables the user to declare operations within a limit in NAV.
