This update includes new stability improvements for the update components in Windows 10, Version 1511.
The update components include files and resources that work in conjunction with the servicing stack engine in Windows 10. These components ensure that quality updates are installed seamlessly and that they improve the reliability and security of Windows 10.
Only certain builds of Windows 10, Version 1511 require this update. Devices that are running those builds will automatically get the update downloaded and installed through Windows Update.
This update is also offered directly to Windows Update Client for some devices that have not installed any recent cumulative updates and are not currently managed (for example, they are not domain-joined).
