This update adds an access code in the meeting invitation template in Microsoft Skype for Business. This lets users input the conference ID by clicking the PSTN number that's inside an email message or a calendar invitation to join the meeting.
By default, the feature is enabled in Click-to-Run editions of Skype for Business 2016, and it's disabled in Microsoft Installer (.msi)-based editions of Skype for Business 2016 and Skype for Business 2015 (Lync 2013). You can turn on the feature by creating a new OneTapJoinForPSTNCallingOnMobile Group Policy Object (GPO), and setting its value to 1. The registry type of the GPO setting is DWORD. The setting is located in the following registry subkeys:
For MSI-based editions of Skype for Business 2016
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Lync\AddinPreference
For MSI-based editions of Skype for Business 2015
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Lync\AddinPreference
Note To enable this feature in Skype for Business 2015, you have to install the May 2, 2017, update (KB3191876) for Skype for Business 2015 (Lync 2013) first.
After the feature is enabled, the meeting invitation template resembles the following:
