Installation state is changed to "Run from My Computer" after you apply an update for Lync 2013 (Skype for Business)

Symptoms

Assume that you customize the installation of Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 without including Microsoft Lync 2013 (Skype for Business). After you apply any update for Lync 2013 (Skype for Business), the installation state is always changed from Not Available to Run from My Computer, and you must uninstall Lync 2013 (Skype for Business) manually every time.

Resolution

To fix this issue, install the April 4, 2017, update (KB3178731) for Skype for Business 2015 (Lync 2013).

Note Lync 2013 was upgraded to Skype for Business in April 2015.
