This article describes an update to the Windows CE Cryptographic Service Provider Signature thumbprint in Windows Embedded Compact 7. Before you install this update, all previously issued updates for this product must be installed.
Microsoft Windows CE Cryptographic Service Provider Signature thumbprint is updated in Windows Embedded Compact 7. Existing code-signing certificate validity is changed from "02/11/2016 - 05/11/2017" to "02/15/2017 - 05/09/2018."
A supported software update is now available from Microsoft as Windows Embedded Compact 7 Monthly Update (March 2017).

After you apply this update, you must perform a clean build of the whole platform. To do this, use one of the following methods:
