More information

In a typical configuration, Calendar Connector runs as a Microsoft Windows 2000 service on a single server that is running Exchange 2000. Calendar Connector uses the Novell GroupWise or the Lotus Notes computer's client software to communicate with a single computer on the Novell GroupWise or Lotus Notes computer. Both the server that is running Exchange 2000 on which Calendar Connector is installed and the server that is running Novell GroupWise or Lotus Notes with which Calendar Connector communicates directly are called bridgehead servers.

In Exchange 2000, a bridgehead server is a connection point from one routing group to another routing group, a remote system, or another external system.

Before you install Calendar Connector on Exchange 2000, follow these steps:
  1. Define a Novell GroupWise organization or a Lotus Notes organization to which Calendar Connector connects.
  2. Install a Novell GroupWise or a Lotus Notes connector to the Novell GroupWise or Lotus Notes organization.
After you have completed these two steps, install Calendar Connector on a server that is running Exchange 2000, and then configure the Novell GroupWise organization or the Lotus Notes organization.
