When you use the Exchange 2000 Sizing tool, you complete an interview process in which the tool gathers information about hardware preferences, user environment, availability, disaster recovery requirements, and specific configuration options. The tool provides a list of viable server configurations that you can use to compare relative price and performance differentials between platform options. The Exchange 2000 Sizing tool includes the following data:
  • Graphical outline of configuration details
  • Recommended storage
  • Backup and Restore configurations
NOTE: There is a 3000-user minimum on ProLiant 8000/8500 configurations. You can use smaller configurations on ProLiant ML370/DL380, ML530, and ML570/DL580 servers.
