Symptoms

The information Store may return a JET error (such as "return JET_errRecordDeleted") to the antivirus application programming interface (API) client if the properties for a previously deleted message are requested.

Cause

This problem may occur if a message is determined to be "bad" or malformed and is removed from the system before the virus scanner is notified.
