When an asynchronous store event sink is registered against a mailbox, the OnSave() event may not fire after the mailbox's primary SMTP address is changed and the information store service is restarted. This occurs because of lost binding information between the mailbox and the event sink.
To make sure that the OnSave() event still fires under these circumstances, the event sink's binding to the mailbox must be unregistered and then reregistered. To do this, unregister the sink, and then reregister it.
For more information about event registration, see the "Event Registration" topic in the latest MSDN Library.
