XCCC: Web Browser Cannot Open Hyperlink to Web Page That Requires NTLM or Kerberos Authentication

Symptoms

If you use a Web browser other than Microsoft Internet Explorer to connect to an Exchange 2000 Outlook Web Access (OWA) server, you cannot access Web sites that require NTLM or Kerberos authentication by clicking hyperlinks in e-mail messages. The hyperlink does not go to the Web site, and you do not receive an error message.

Cause

This problem occurs because some third-party Web browsers do not support NTLM and Kerberos authentication.

Workaround

To work around this problem, use Internet Explorer to connect to OWA.
