Symptoms

If you resend a message that you saved from Outlook 97 and the recipient replies to that message, the name of the original sender is placed in the From field.

This behavior is resolved in all versions of Outlook that are later than Microsoft Outlook 98. This behavior is resolved on the Exchange 2000 side by the hotfix mentioned in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
